Last time when i travel to tokyo at december 2017 they still have it.. ?
If you leave JR Shibuya Station and cross the scramble intersection in front of you, it will be in front of you.
Iconic, view to shibuya crossing
Nice coffee shop, the usual Starbucks quality and service. It's claim to fame is that it overlooks the famous Shibuya crossing. It's great to grab a coffee and sip it while seeing the swarm of people moving in there different directions. The service was quick and latte was tasty. When it's crowded on weekends finding a good spot specially for groups might take more than 30 minutes. For weekdays visits and solo travelers it's a perfect spot.
Classic location to view Shibuya Crossing. The only disappointment is the windows are dirty, and whoever thought of putting the subway entrance right in front wasn't thinking. Also, please do not hog more than what you need. Don't use chairs to put your bags.
You should not expect to plug in your laptop and work for a long period here. This is solely for the experience of overlooking the Scramble Crossing. All seats lack real seatbacks to prevent people from staying too long. Branch out further from the station if you need to work
Small but good view
Permanently packed with great view of the scramble if you can get to the window
Quick and decent service in the famous store at Shibuya crossing. You know the unique here is the view of crossing hence the seating could be too busy and you might wait for a while.
One of the most touristy Starbucks. Still a great place to view the Shibuya crossing.
It's a regular starbucks, but as mentioned the 2nd floor perfectly overlooks the Shibuya crossing.
Be ready with your camera to get tons of video and pics here! And don’t forget to enjoy the views with your own eyes as well! Good morning Tokyo!
I've been there twice, on the first day of my trip to Tokyo and on the last day to look at the famous crossing. Loved it. Of course it is very crowded, there is always a queue for orders but the staff is very efficient, they are all very nice and understanding and also speak a decent English. Surprisingly enough I didn't have to wait long both times for a seat, as I was alone, it was easier, but the area quite big so just wander around and you'll find a seat. People don't come here to just sit and relax but mostly to take photos of the crossing, so they don't stay seated for long.
Spent a wonderful hour or so watching the mesmerising rush of the Shibuya Crossing from this Starbucks. It was raining a little and the multicoloured umbrellas looked beautiful from above. We managed to get great seats after waiting a little while.
best place to enjoy the famous Shibuya Crossing view
If you are looking for just a coffee, don't bother with this Starbucks. If you are trying to view Shibuya crossing then this Starbucks is well worth it. You queue on the ground floor and get your coffee, I found the staff had a bit of English but there is a picture menu on the counter and pointing at the items helps. Same process as a normal Starbucks. collect your coffee at the end and then head upstairs. trying to get a seat near the window overlooking the crossing is where things get tricky, you just have to get lucky. most others are doing the same thing so people aren't there to sit around and drink coffee and chat, they are trying to get a few pictures or videos of the scramble so within a few changes of the lights you should be able to find a seat. this is one of the best viewing locations of the crossing and for the price of a cup of coffee it is worth it.
The most popular Starbucks in Tokyo with the view of the 8 way Shibuya crossing. A really busy cafe with many people coming to the 2nd floor to view the crossing. I came in on a rainy night and the view was still as good. Especially with all the lights and screens surrounding the place. Food and drinks wise are just normal like any other Starbucks. So the only plus is the view. You can just walk in straight and do not need to buy anything. So that's a plus.
I try to not frequent Starbucks and actually go out of my way to avoid especially in the US. However, this one has a great view of Shibuya Crossing. Pastries are all prepackaged and nothing is fresh...but a cool location.
Great location. Horrible customer service. Been a Starbucks customer for 20years. First store I’ve heard up that only has tall size. AVOID!!!!
It's sad that no one cares about PLASTIC POLLUTiON! So many waste and single-use plastic that could be avoided if Starbucks would just give a glass/ mug or eatable straws to the customers who drink in!
This Starbucks sucks! There's only one available drink size and there's no heating device so U can't get warm food. Not a good idea to have this kind of service here!
Literally the only reason to come here is for the view. They don't have a case of "fresh" pastries, only ones wrapped in plastic, and the scone I picked was the driest pastry I've ever had. Their drinks only seem to come in one size. As far as Starbucks go, it's pretty much the worst one I've ever seen. And of course seating is tricky with it being so busy, so even going in to watch the crossing below could present an issue.
Definitely the views towards Shibuya Crossing is superb. Service is very fast and you can go upstairs to sip your coffee while watching the world go by crazy during crossing. However many people just sit near windows even after finishing drinks so places not guaranteed. I got seat after waiting for 20 min and its much better to sit and watch while sipping coffee. I enjoyed the view for about 10 minutes and then walked away for others to have an opportunity.Building next to Starbucks selling souvenirs (towards left) has free viewing deck (more than 7-8 floors I remember) however I felt it’s too high even though view was good. Overall Starbucks provides better view.
Iconic place to take a photo or video of the busiest pedestrian crossing.
This place is always crowed. A great view to see shibuya crossing.
Came here mostly for the review. Be aware that you may have to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a seat. More if you want to sit together as a group. However, it is definitely a place you should visit both at day and night to see the views.
Good coffee, about anything you would expect of a Starbucks they'll have. For English speaking individuals as it's in front of the scramble crossing they are very used to dealing with English if you arnt confident with your Japanese. Be warned as it also gets very crowded, also from being in front of the scramble crossing.
One of the most iconic views of the Shibuya crosswalk is from this building. Order a drink and head on to the second to watch the hundreds of people make the timeless walk day or night. It is usually crowded, so you may have to wait for a seat. Feel free to check out the other floors of the building where locals rent DVDs/CDs, listen to music, and buy magazines and comic books. One of my favorite places to go to when I’m around Shibuya!
Once you in you don't much care about its delicious coffee or whatever they offer, cuz the view to Shibuya crossing will take all your attention
Good place to watch the crossing from a birds eye view while having a coffee. Was not to busy and we were able to get. Seat on the upper level. Great location.
The worst starbucks worldwide. Doesn't compare to the smallest store in the middle of nowhere. Menu od 3 fraps in tall size. No venti drinks offered
If you can get a seat at the bench over looking the famous intersection, this is a great place for a rest. That said it’s hard to get said seat. However, at the end of the day it’s still a Starbucks. The coffee is overpriced and underwhelming. You can get a comparable coffee for a lot cheaper at any 7-11 or Family Mart.
Starbucks is fairly standard in Japan but I'm not a fan of this particular one. It's usually very crowded and you're very unlikely to find a seat here. I unfortunately had a not so great experience here, ordered a drink with no whip (in Japanese, the staff member who took my order understood me and noted it down) but the staff member who made the drink ignored that, looked me dead in the eye while saying, "全然分ã‹ã‚‰ãªã„" and putting a lot of whip on while I tried to correct her. This was pretty surprising as the staff I've encountered across other Starbucks locations in Japan have been lovely and surprisingly very chatty. The different monthly drinks are great to try though, but if you want to sit down and rest your feet I'd reccomend walking a little further and finding a quieter branch.
im a big Starbucks fan in the UK. but this Starbucks completely blew the UK out of the water. It is VERY busy but my order of the latest frappuccino was complete within 15 seconds. Service at its finest. Highly recommend you to visit here for the service as well as the experience of being at the busiest Starbucks in the world.
I think the layout of this Starbucks is extremely awkward but the upstairs is pretty nice to catch the street crossing. Can get very crowded though.
Long queue to get the coffee. However, we were very lucky to get our seats near the window overlooking the crossing without waiting.
Absolutely amazing view of shibuya crossing from here! Please check it out if you are visiting Tokyo, so happy I got my timelapse video.
Two floors with a very organized ordering process.
Yes for the view... the best of the best uncomfortable star bucks ever 😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂 you know what I mean 🤙ðŸ»ðŸ¤£ðŸ˜‚ whatever the view is the best in shibuya* but sometimes some staffs doesn’t let you take some photos 😂 yes super ridiculous n absolutely too small to have a coffee with some meditation *As I’ve said so just ‘the view is good’ Unfortunately that is all 🎃
Classic Starbucks featuring the usual favourite menu items with a couple unique items to Japan. Of course, the main attraction is that it overlooks the famous Shibuya Crossing. You can get some really excellent videos and time lapse photos from the second floor.
Great coffee and the second floor gives you a great view of the crossing. Could spend hours just drinking coffee and watching the thousands of people cross
Pretty cool view from here but that aside its just a starbucks
This is one of the most popular Starbucks coffees in Tokyo and it is almost exclusively because it has the best view of Shibuya Crossing. Grab a coffee and go up to the second floor and sit at the window to watch the most amazing intersection and busiest intersection in the world. It is quite a sight to see and enjoy coffee at the same time, I highly recommended on your trip to Tokyo.
Good quality, view could improve if they got a permit to extend the balcony.
Good place to enjoy the view of famous crossing of Shibuya. This place is usually crowded with visitors, while the chairs are available very limited.
Drinks come only in one size.Place is too hot and cakes were sold out :(
Starbucks which everyone is using as an observation point at the famous Shibuya crossing. It’s been renovated to accommodate more people. Staff is very professional and handles the never ending crowd perfectly. Drinks are the same as any other Starbucks.
Good Starbucks in Shibuya. In a great location to look over the Shibuya crossing. Had a nice soy latte. Quick and polite service
I am not a fan of Starbucks really. Prefer traditional Viennese coffee houses. But here it's good - for a view to the iconic Shibuya crossing and your way up to the book store.
Nice place to look peoples from above
Wonderful place to watch the crossing! Great coffee, snacks and souvenirs. Friendly, efficient service. Highly recommend.
Great place strategically placed above the famous Shibuya crossing. If you have time or just love to people watch, it can be a therapeutic experience watching the hordes of pedestrians making their way across the road. Just be forewarned that the place is very popular and you will have to wait for a space by the window facing the crossing. The usual Starbucks coffees and teas are available so you can slake your thirst and taste buds while observing people.
